- Now SEARCH for people who have similar interests, meet your profile interests or fit a specific criteria (e.g sport, theatre, museums, romance or whatever!!). Perhaps a golfing partner or another family heading to the same destination ...... or someone on a business trip abroad.
- The search RESULTS should show you people who ......
a) may be travelling at the same time as you with similar interests and looking for new friends, a travel buddy or romance.
b) who live at your travel destination and want to meet new people.
c) who live in or are travelling to your area.
- Finally SEND MESSAGES within the privacy, confidentiality and safety of the DatesAbroad site to those MEMBERS who make you feel comfortable.
- If all goes well and you are happy, then maybe consider arranging meetings with your new friends (or friend). We suggest a coffee, lunch or an early evening drink somewhere that makes you feel at ease and is amongst people and a public place.
The site also offers a FORUM for members to help each other and ask questions about anything ..... perhaps a local hotel, flights, clubs or restaurants ... maybe advice on a destination or activities at a location.

By registering your profile you become a FULL MEMBER of the website and can start to find friends all over the world.
You can access members public profiles and exchange emails and make contact, all within the privacy of the website. This is the first step towards building your NETWORK of friends and contacts.
You should then post any planned trips so other members who either live in the area of your destination or are travelling at the same time can find and possibly meet up with you. Your posted trip will be seen by everyone and its the best way to discover who is travelling or coming to your area. Posting your trips is an important part of improving your network.
Then in "search" you can enter details of your preferences and any particular activity you are interested in at your destination and can find fellow travellers either heading to your destination or "local" members who actually live there with similar interests. It's your choice to set the criteria or activities that you wish to search. Once people (or a specific person) is identified, you can make contact and explore the options. All of this can take place within the privacy of our DatesAbroad website, making you more secure and comfortable about chatting to or possibly meeting new friends!
DatesAbroad suggests that you begin by saying "hello" or a message through our secure site and initiate an internet conversation before you give out any personal details or information. The options are with you but please respect the rules and any inappropriate postings will be filtered and the member suspended. A member will be notified by e-mail of any replies to your Forum "blog". This response, and any others, will also be posted on the Forum notice board for all to see unless you decide to switch to a personal e-mail address.
When arranging a first meeting DatesAbroad advise that you choose a "neutral" venue, such as a busy bar, a coffee shop, maybe at the golf club, a museum or some other public place .... or perhaps go with a friend?
